About The Head Shop

The Head Shop was a psychedelic rock band from New York, USA. They released a self-titled album in 1969 which was produced by Milan Radenkovich (a.k.a. The Leather Boy). The band evolved from garage rock band The Household Sponge to The Head Shop. The band had a unique sound: soulful vocals, flying Hammond organ, fuzzy bass, distorted lead guitars, lots of percussive and weird rhythm instruments, plus several unexpected stereo effects. Band members: Danny Prosseda (guitar) Drew Sbordone (bass) Joe Siano (vocals) Jesse Luca (percussion) Geoff Wright (organ, fuzz bass)
