About Halfscissors
Halfscissors is a duo project from Uzhhorod, Ukraine, consisting of Mychaylo Tyupa (Tyupa) and Nickolai Garaz (Garaz a.k.a. Nick Tremo). Together, they create downtempo, trip-hop music. Before they started to work as a duo in 2012, Tyupa had his own project called Keas and released EP Poema at Proton Limited. Garaz has been producing music for the last few years. His most recent work is called VII. Halfscissors duties are strictly separated – Tyupa plays live sounds, Garaz is responsible for electronic parts. They describe their music as sounds of the surrounding atmosphere of the city, people, everything that happens to us every day. Musical critics called first sounds from forthcoming EP Train Station of Halfscissors as “early DJ Shadow or the recent output of the Ghostly label”.
