About HEKTIC
Hektic from Essex, UK was brought up during the era when dance music and the rave seen was in full flight. His main influences stretch from listening to "band music" like Oasis at an early age to, house and UKGarage. Although Never straying away from His Love of Oldskool Jungle & Drum N Bass. After leaving School at 16, Hektic started to concentrate on learning mixing and Dj'ing skills, avidly following the One Nation/Slammin Vinyl tape and CD packs, which featured The DJs Hektic was aspiring to. the likes of Mickey Finn, DJ Hype, Kenny ken and NIcky Blackmarket. At the age of 20, being around some friends who was learning to produce and having a very keen interest on learning production. Hektic begun to teach himself how to use and create tracks using a varied range of software. Mainly using Reason 5, Cubase and Acid pro. Though Hektic himself says that "As in life, its always good to be looking and messing around with other software, its always best to have a solid base to work from. but there is always something to be learnt from something new, even if you find out your original way was better.
