There are two projects under this name: 1. Gyves (Minimal Synth / Darkwave, est. 2012) Active since 2012, Gyves is an electronic project rooted in Minimal Synth, Darkwave, and Industrial. All music is composed and performed exclusively on a Roland MC-505 groovebox, giving the project its rigid pulse and narrow mechanical frame. But beneath the machinery, something older remains: dark folk, ritual drones, and the solemn gravity of neoclassical darkwave. Gyves sounds like cold electronics remembering a pre-modern world — an uneasy sleep where ancient sorrow moves through industrial rhythm. The discography documents a gradual shift in sound: • Haze (2014): A skeletal debut rooted in 80s Minimal Synth and Cold Wave traditions. • Lamb in Drunken Crowd (2016): A move toward Post-Industrial and Heavy Darkwave, with emphasis on visceral rhythms, corroded textures, and oppressive structures. • 2025 — Return: After several years of silence, the project resumed active work and is currently developing a third studio album. 2. Gyves (Black Metal, est. 2023) A melodic black metal solo project from Sweden, blending piano-driven emotional melodies with traditional black metal elements.
