Born in Lanark on 14th June 1980 1995-1998-Scottish National Jazz Institute under the direction of Saxophonist Tommy Smith 1999 Finalist in the Scottish Young Jazz Musician of the Year competition 2000 Johnny Dankworth Award for the Most Promising Young Talent on the live broadcast of the BBC Big Band Competition 2001 Graduated from the Strathclyde University BA in Applied Music course with First Class Honours-awarded the Sir Alexander Stone Award for Best Solo Performance 2001-2003 Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama-MMus in Classical Guitar Performance Performed in Masterclasses led by international classical guitarists-Carlos Bonnel, Paul Gregory, Craig Ogden, Gary Ryan, Scott Tennant, The Newman and Oltman Duo and Manuel Barrueco Appeared live and on record with many of Scotland's top jazz musicians and featured with the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra Played-Dundee Guitar Festival, Glasgow Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival, Brecon Jazz Festival Radio- Jazzhouse-Radio Scotland Recordings-'Say Hello' 2004 available on itunes and at www.jazzcds.co.uk Between 2008 and 2010 Graeme was featured soloist in the SNJO's 'Three Decades of Steely Dan' project which performed at Glasgow Jazz Fest, London Jazz Fest and Perth Festival. Graeme was recently awarded runner up in the 2009 Scottish Jazz Awards (guitar category) for his album 'Say Hello' ..
