There is more than one artist by the name of GIZMO. 1. Benjiman Reilley Roach, known more professionally as Gizmo, is an underground rapper and member of GYST hailing from Jamestown, Rhode Island. He is known for his angry, energy filled raps. 2. Gizmo is widely recognized as a bassist and music director, but he has spent the last year working on his new album “Red Balloon,” where he is showcasing another, and perhaps the most captivating side of himself as a singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist, and producer. He has collaborated with many world-renowned musicians including Derrick Hodge, Casey Benjamin, Jamire Williams, George W. Russell, Jr, Ilan Bar-Lavi and co-producer Gabo Lugo to create a compelling record that expresses a personal side of Gizmo. The 14 track debut record is currently in the mixing stage and is being shopped by various labels, and it will be released in the next few months. Growing up in the Philadelphia music scene under the tutelage of great bassists (Derrick Hodge, Tyrone Brown, Gerald Veasley, Anthony Wellington, and Rob Swanson), Kenneth “Gizmo” Rodgers, has worked extremely hard to perfect his craft. Notorious for his preparedness, responsibility, and most importantly his ability to provide a strong foundation and groove in many genres, the 20-year-old bassist and Berklee College of Music student has performed, recorded, and shared the stage with many renowned artists. 3. Ｇｉｚｍｏ is a Japanese melodic punk three piece band from Japan. 4. Gizmo is an underground electronic dance music/bass music producer. 5. Gizmo is a dynamic four-piece indie rock band hailing from Charlottetown, PEI. With roots firmly planted in the gritty sounds of 90s lo-fi and slacker rock, Gizmo emerged as a creative response to the COVID-19 lockdown, evolving from a songwriting project into a full-fledged band in 2021. Since their formation, they've taken their high-energy performances from local venues to stages across Canada, quickly earning a reputation for their infectious energy and raw sound. Their debut EP, "Buddy System," dropped in August 2023, showcasing four tracks that capture the essence of their music—crunchy, guitar-driven power pop infused with slacker rock's laid-back charm, all tied together with irresistibly catchy hooks. The band's ability to fuse nostalgia with fresh, electrifying vibes has garnered them a growing following in the Canadian indie rock scene.
