Gary Crosby

About Gary Crosby

Gary Crosby, as most people know, was the son of Bing Crosby and Dixie Lee, a singer and actress. He cut his actor's teeth as a youngster of 12 in Duffy's Tavern(1945). He went on to act in 59 TV productions and movies and as himself in 15 game show and celebrity guest appearances. In his teen years he sang a duet with his dad with two songs that were the first double sided gold record in history; "Sam's Song" and "Play a Simple Melody." He had a commercially appealing voice, not dissimilar to his father, and later worked on a music production/album that would combine electronically the singing voice of Gary and his father in much the same way Natalie Cole did with her father, the great Nat "King" Cole on the "Unforgettable" album. Gary's album was never finished due to his illness with lung cancer. He passed away in 1995 at the age of 62.
