About Gabriel Marghieri

Gabriel Marghieri (* 1964 in Monaco) is a French organist, composer and professor of music theory and improvisation at the Conservatoire National Supérieur Lyon. Gabriel Marghieri completed his studies in organ, improvisation and composition with honors at the Paris Conservatory, where he was taught by Marie-Claire Alain, Michel Chapuis and Loïc Mallié, among others. He is titular organist at the Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre in Paris and at Saint-Bonaventure Lyon, where he is also artistic director of the Heures d'orgue and founder of the Association des Amis de l'orgue. In addition to his work as an organist at concerts and lecturer at master classes in Europe, Canada and Japan, Marghieri is also a composer of organ and piano music, choral music and works for various instrumental ensembles, acts as a juror and edits articles for specialist magazines. He has also recorded several CDs.
