www.gaudeamus.hants.biz «Gaudeamus» is a chamber choir of about 24 voices based in Leigh on Sea, Essex. Founded in 1988 and conducted by its present musical director, Ruth Brown, since 1999, Gaudeamus is increasingly renowned for the quality and variety of its singing, of music from the middle ages to the present day.We give between five and seven concerts a year, mostly in South-East Essex but also at venues across the county, including Basildon, Canvey Island, Brentwood, Copford, Coggeshall and Lexden in the Colchester area, Finchingfield and at Ingatestone Hall. We have also undertaken foreign concert tours, to Washington DC, Prague, Rome and Venice.
