About FOES

There are at least two bands with the name "Foes". 1. A progressive rock band from the UK. 2. A metallic hardcore band from Oregon. 1. Since their inception in 2013, UK four-piece FOES have been turning heads with their intriguing and uniquely cinematic progressive-rock sound. After 8 months spent establishing themselves sonically, the band set the bar with debut EP 'Ophir', which showcased a refreshing blend of post-punk and alt-rock. Around the same time, the band's early live shows saw them share the stage with 36 Crazyfists, Hacktivist and Press To Meco, just to name a few. Following up with sophomore EP 'Antecedence', FOES got noticed by the likes of Kerrang! and Rock Sound who cited the EP as "sheer brilliance" and "a cinematic experience". The release was backed up by an appearance at UK Tech-Fest and further shows alongside more big names within the scene, such as The Xcerts and Bad Sign. Members Chris Mackrill - Vocals/Guitar Josh Catchpole - Bass James Lorenzo - Drums Joe Danher - Guitar 2. Foes (also stylized as "FØES"), self-described as "Nü Grind Power Punk", is a metallic hardcore band from Sunriver, Oregon. They take influence from various punk, grindcore, and powerviolence.
