About Floating Point
Floating Point is a band from Germany who stands for electronic popmusic with melodic chant. In the autumn 1998, Joerg Grundnig founded FLOATING POINT as solo-project. This was the result of all-nightly subtlety at the synthesizers for 5 years. He became acquainted with the band Obsc(y)re from Saxony. On the 27th December 1998 was the first entrance as Opener for Obsc(y)re with throughout positive feedback of the audience. 1999 Joerg released a first Promo-CD-R "Love and pain" with outstandingly good evaluations and surprisingly good resonances through the Internet and on concerts until now. The cooperation with Christian Hinske since March 1999 and Claudia Buehring since June 1999 let Floating Point turn from the project to a band. Unfortunately this cooperation finished in the spring 2001 for personal and band-internal reasons. But immediately Joerg found in June 2001 a new member for the band with Marco Lippach. They already knew each other some years. Joerg was born the 22nd of January 1969 in Bad Langensalza (Germany). Marco was born the 16th of June 1976 in Apolda (Germany). http://www.floatingpoint.de
