About Ferd
1) FERD is trio roots band featuring Ferd Moyse (former frontman for the Hackensaw Boys) on fiddle and drum, Chris Stevens on bass and Matt Morelock on banjo. In 2022 they released their album Feelin' Like the Wind 2) GOOD GAWD, IT’S FERD!!!! Bringing Hip Hop to all new heights with his debut EP, Flay-vin, FERD is the one to pay attention to in the near and far future. His fresh singles "Happiness (I Gotta)" and " A Big Deal" are generating an impressive buzz and does not show any signs of slowing down. Although, his musical career looks bright, the Brooklyn, NY native states he has a lot more he wants to bring to the entertainment world. So what is the meaning behind Flay-vin? Flay-vin is just a symbolic word for an indescribable sound. The style that my producers (Bishop Blade, Dank Sinatra) and I created has such a dissimilar feel that we could not find an adjective to support what kind of flavor it was. So, I just came up with the word Flay-vin and it felt right. So what makes your music so “dissimilar”? You can call my music dissimilar mainly because of the way I orchestrate my music and my whole approach in life, in general. Living in Brooklyn my entire life, I noticed that there is a specific style and attitude that’s engraved in most Hip Hop artist from New York. I don’t possess that style nor attitude whatsoever. I have my own way of approaching my music that won’t be affected by where I came from. It’s kind of effortless for me to make music that shakes up your universe. I am FERD and nobody else. Take it or throw it back, but please don’t compare me to anyone. So what should we expect from FERD in the Future? Expect detail. My music is here to not just entertain, but to enlighten onto the mind state of one special person walking the Earth. So, hopefully, you discover more than just great music out of me. You will discover a great human being, as well. Expect consistency. I will be releasing the next project, “Flay-vin: The Golden Touch” at the end of the year. Expect GOOD GAWD. GOOD GAWD is my imprint, my crew, and my family. Were coming strong and were coming correct so prepare yourself. So are there any artists you would like to show appreciation to? There are a couple artists I would like to give kudos to, new and old. I show much respect to Slick Rick, T.I., Guy, Prince, Johnny Kemp, Devious (best friend), and Busta Rhymes…Thanks Guys!
