About Faso
Nicola "Faso" Fasani was born in Milan, Italy on April 7, 1965. Since 1985 he plays 6-string bass for Italian rock band Elio e le Storie Tese. Alongside drummer Christian Meyer, he's also a founder member of jazz-rock outfits Trio Bobo and Biba Band (both directly indebted to Weather Report). Faso has participated in three seasons of the MTV programme Absolutely, where he was also the leader of a house-band including EelST keyboardist Jantoman and Biba Band vocalist Roberto "Big" Conti among others. In 1989, Faso founded the Ares Milano baseball team, in which he still occasionally plays as first baseman.
