The band started in late 2004 with Mike LoGrasso and Ricky Coomer on lead and rhythm guitars, as well as Joe Bartalucci on drums. The band was completed shortly there after with Brad Gottorff on bass and Nathan Hamberger on vocals. For What Its Worth set out with the goal of bringing a unique talent-filled musical mesh of rock, alternative, screamo, and post-hardcore all together in one combined with the talent of 4 vocalists to create a musical style all their own, along with an exciting and gripping stage performance. They started playing small shows around their neighborhood to develop and perfect their sound and stage show. With the bands release of their first demo in October of 2005, they tried to really build a reputation of a band that was good on CD, and even better on stage. After their demo, the band started play larger venues and competitions around the Buffalo area including Club Infinity, Club Paradise, Mohawk Place, The Tralf, Broadway Joes and more. Now, in 2006, with a new outstanding demo ready for release, the release of a guitarist(Ricky Coomer), and the gain of an new outstanding one (Matt Slomowicz), For What Its Worth is looking to shatter the reputations of under 21 bands not being taken seriously and explode into the Buffalo scene and beyond through the stages and airwaves as a serious awe inspiring band.
