About Fierbinteanu
Fierbinteanu is a digital-pop duo, active in Bucharest/Romania. It consists of Gabriela Fierbinteanu (vocals) and Cristian Fierbinteanu (computer, bass, vocals). Their music contains elements of pop, electronica, psychedelic, noise, ambient and sound collage. In concerts they combine live performance with playing and manipulating analog and digital sound. They collaborate and also play live with Plurabelle (stage name of Alex Bala, electronic recording artist). They released a double disc in 2012 (The Beauty Of Music), which includes some of their early material along with collaborations with Claudiu Ilariean (romanian independent musician). They also released a maxi-single CD (six renditions of a song called 'Love Goes Round In Circles') and several songs online. Gabriela and Cristian Fierbinteanu performed in clubs, galleries and online radio stations in Bucharest, played live in Prague. They played along or featured new alternative&jazz romanian, french and czech artists. In 2012 they won the Antonin Dvorak's music remix contest, organized by the Czech Centre in Bucharest. In 2010 they played in 'Replace', with Alexandru Bala and Bogdan Stamatin (the later now runs The Important Videoshow, asking people what is important). Recently, Cristian Fierbinteanu and Dan Michiu Dinescu (romanian experimental guitarist) released a live CD with a sound-session they performed in early 2013. Nowadays, Gabriela and Cristian Fierbinteanu are working on new music, to be performed live and released alongside parts of their older material.
