About FIESTAR
FIESTAR (Hangul: 피에스타) is a five-member South Korean independent girl group. They were created and formerly managed under LOEN Entertainment. They were also formerly managed by Bonmal Entertainment. The members consists of: - Jei (재이), Linzy (린지), Yezi (예지), Hyemi (혜미), and Cao Lu (차오루). Originally a six-member group, member Cheska was in the original line-up but she left the group in 2014. The girls trained for an average of four years; two years since the formation of the group. They released a song and music video with their label-mate, IU, titled "달빛바다 (Sea of Moonlight)" and later released a pre-debut single titled "Wicked" featuring Tiger JK. They released their first single "Vista" on August 31, 2012. On November 9, 2012, they released their second single We Don't Stop, with the B-side track Sweet Love featuring ballad singer Kim Yeon-woo. On August 27, 2013, a pre-release single, Whoo! featuring Eric Benét, was released online. In September 2013, LOEN Entertainment created the sub-label Collabodadi, under which Fiestar would continue to release their music. On November 1, 2013, the group released the single I Don't Know from their third single album Curious. On March 20, 2014, LOEN Entertainment announced that Cheska was leaving the group and would not be replaced by any new members. On July 2, 2014, Fiestar released the single One More. Their first single as a five-member group. On March 4, 2015, Fiestar released their first EP Black Label and the title track You’re Pitiful. Six months after the album's release, on September 22, Collabodadi was dissolved, with LOEN Tree becoming the sole in-house label of LOEN Entertainment. Thus, Fiestar returned to LOEN Tree after a two-year run under Collabodadi. On March 9, 2016, they released their second EP A Delicate Sense and the title track Mirror On May 31, 2016, Fiestar released the digital single Apple Pie. On May 15, 2018, after a year of no group activities, it was announced that Fiestar would officially disband following their contract expiration. On August 2024, Fiestar announced that they would reunite to celebrate their 12th anniversary debut with the release of a remake of their 2015 single "You're Pitiful", their first independent release. Cao Lu cited that the single's copyright was bought by her. Their remake single was officially released on August 31, with a new style which combined "UK Garage" and "Rage Pop" genres. On April 9 2025, Fiestar announced they had signed an exclusive contract with Bonmal Entertainment in February. However this was reportedly terminated on July 31 by the group, citing delays and cancellations to comeback activities due to company internal issues. On August 31 2025, on their 13th anniversary, they released a remake of their debut single Vista (2025). This is their second independent release, which the production costs was funded by Cao Lu again after the termination of the contract.
