Enumclaw is an American indie rock band from Tacoma, Washington. The band is named after the city of Enumclaw, Washington. In February 2022, the band was signed to Luminelle Recordings, an imprint of Fat Possum Records. The members of the band consider themselves a working-class group. They have slogged in minimum wage jobs, rehearsed in basements and enjoyed their fair share of “tall boy” cans of beer belly-up at a dive bar. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with any of this. But the band members also dream bigger. Part of their identity entails a grind, a push for more, to make for higher ground when the time is right. or inspiration, the group looks to the 90s U.K. chart-toppers, Oasis, which blossomed from its humble blue-collar beginnings. Today, the band is enjoying its own early successes, including the attention from local outlets, KEXP and the Seattle Times, and the national tastemaker music publication, Pitchfork. The band consists of Aramis: Guitar, Vocals; Nathan Cornell: Bass, Lead Guitar on Cinderella; Ladaniel Gipson: Drums; and Eli Edwards, who joined the band after the recording of the first EP "Jimbo Demo". There is another artist that use the same name: Under the nom de kosmische Enumclaw, mild-mannered Philadelphia auteur Norman Fetter (Niagara Falls, Espers, ex-Golden Ball) emerges from the Honeymoon Music studio/lair with a suite of joyous 22nd century transfinitum music for your spectacularly analog ears: cosmic orbs hover, lightning bugs frolic, electric rain drizzles, galactic ponds shimmer, herds pass in the distance, minutes stretch into daze.
