She has performed solo harpsichord, organ and pedal harpsichord recitals to critical acclaim in the United States and Germany, and her performances as a collaborative artist and concerto soloist have also earned high praise. Elizabeth Farr holds degrees in harpsichord and organ performance from Stetson University, The Juilliard School, and the University of Michigan, having studied with Paul Jenkins, Vernon de Tar, and Edward Parmentier. Associate Professor of harpsichord and organ at the University of Colorado, she also conducts the Early Music Ensemble, and offers classes in Baroque performance practices, keyboard literature, and basso-continuo playing. 2) Elizabeth Farr holds music degrees from the Peabody Conservatory of Music, the University of Tennessee, and the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. She began her music career as a soprano with the Gregg Smith Singers in New York. In 1995 she won the Knoxville Arts Council’s “Artist of the Year” Award, and is past president of the East Tennessee Chapter of the American Harp Society. Elizabeth is also a violinist with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. Elizabeth's performance specialties include weddings, dinners, and other social events; memorial services, healing music, Senior Living home/nursing home mini-concerts, Anniversary parties, and church functions. Each event is customized for the occasion, choosing from classical, Celtic, sacred, pop, and some jazz literature.
