About Eliza and The Strange
Eliza And The Strange are an alternative rock band from Halifax Nova Scotia. The band consists of lead singer, Eliza White,guitarist, Alex MacAskill,guitarist, Ian Bennet ,drummer, Kenny Myers and bassist, Jake Seaward. They formed in 2011 and played their first show in June 2011. Their debut self title album on Strange Blood Records was released on March 16th 2012.Eliza And The Strange since May 2012 have been going under their new name Bloody Diamonds and will continue to do so. Alex MacAskill no longer plays with the band. Eliza White goes under Sara Elizabeth which is her birth name. On September 18,2012 Bloody Diamonds re released their debut album with the title They've Got Secrets. On January 15, 2013 it was announced that drummer, Kenny Myers and guitarist, Ian Bennent had left the band to focus on other musical projects. For the time being the band will tour and perform as a duo with singer/ pianist, Sara Elizabeth and bassist, Jake Seaward. Bloody Diamonds has a Spring concert planned for 2013 in support of their 7" EP entitled "Monster" which will be released March 12, 2013 on Strange Blood Records.
