About Eddie Minnis

A Bahamian artist, cartoonist (caricaturist) and songwriter born on October 14th, 1947. He was educated at St. John's College and Government High School in Nassau. His paintings are in private collections in many parts of the world including the U.S.A., Canada, Britain, Australia and Korea. Since 1971 this artist has also carved another name for himself as a singer and songwriter. He now has 10 calypso albums to his credit - "Der Real Ting", "Nicole and Shan an ...", "Island Life", "Mind Your Own Business", "Junkanoo Jam", "Guilty", "Hey Mon", "Discovery", and "Greatest Hits I and II". Additionally Mr. Minnis created a satirical cartoon "Pot Luck", in 1970 which appeared in the two biggest newspapers in the Bahamas for several years. There is no Bahamian that does not know this artist. Eddie Minnis is a family man with three children and a dedicated religious individual apart from being a caribbean artistic legend.
