Evangelina grew up in a small city in a small state (2nd smallest!) in the US of A. She's the product of a musical family, a pianist father, a mother who loved to sing, her brothers and sisters musicians as well as aunts and uncles. Of Spanish, Greek, and Native American descent, Evangelina's influences vary immensely. She grew up enjoying the cultural music of her mixed heritage as well as absorbing any other genre, specifically rock, that she could possible get into her ears. Evangelina's music morphs and grows throughout the years as she develops as an artist, starting out in an all girl punk band at the age of 17 and continuing to evolve from there. Above all she strives to keep her music pure and honest. You may hear an off key note or a chord that just doesn't quite fit well, but is it that she's made a mistake or is it that she wants you to feel that slight moment of discomfort? Could be either! If anything, her music is designed to invoke thought or feeling.. whether it's joy, sadness, or anything in between. Whether you enjoy it or not... sit back... listen.. and think about it.
