About Erica García
http://twitter.com/ericagarcia11 http://facebook.com/ericagarciaeleven Erica Laura García is a singer, guitar player and song writer born in Palermo, Buenos Aires. In 1991 she forms the band "Mata Violeta" together with Karina Tamburini (drums) and Nancy González (bass). "Mata Violeta" splits up in 1995, and Erica launches her solo career. In 1997 she releases her first album, "El Cerebro", produced by Ricardo Mollo (Sumo, Divididos). However, it is her second record, "La Bestia" the one that made Erica more popular in the argentinian rock scene. Specially, her song "Vete destino" was a hit and helped her get into other markets. She broke into the mainstream scene with her album "Amorama" (2001) and her single "Positiva". After that she moved to Los Angeles (USA) from 2003 to 2010. There she devloped indie projects and released records, such as "Afternoon in the Bamboos" (2006, as Mountain Party) and "Lady Grave" (2006, as Lady Grave). In 2010 she returned to Buenos Aires and in 2014 she released her latest album, "Tango Vampiros". Aside her solo career, she's participated in a number of acts and collaborations with different Argentinean and international numbers (Café Tacuba, Brazzaville, Divididos, Andrea Álvarez, Cienfuegos, Enrique Bunbury, Alejandro Lerner, etc.), gaining recognition over her vocal and guitar skills.
