Erdal Bayrakoğlu (born 7 April 1977, Ardeşen , Rize, Turkey ) is a Turkish musician who performs Eastern Black Sea music. Bayrakoğlu was born in 1977 in Ardeşen as the youngest of a Laz family with four children. When his father, who was a teacher, was appointed, he moved to Istanbul, where he spent four years of his childhood. He finished primary school in Germany , where he went with his family . Bayrakoğlu, who started working as a soloist during his high school years, founded a band called Türkülerle Diriliş and started making protest music . He sang the Laz song Çona Şkimi, the lyrics of which he wrote, for the band Munzur 's album called Bahara Çağrı . He blended rock music and Laz music in his album Zifona , which he released in July 2006. He released his second album, Sesumi Duacaksun , in 2013. The album, whose lyrics were written by İbrahim Karaca, consists of 12 songs written in Pontic Greek , Georgian and Laz languages.
