About Dj Faith
DJ Faith is a downtempo DJ from Los Angeles who first started spinning downtempo and ambient in 2000, and making mix cd's in 2001, with her first mix entitled "Voyages". She loves the sound and feeling of that mix, but you can hear how new she still was at it. Hopefully, her improvement over the years can be heard in my later mixes. She attributes her trip to Ibiza and the first Cafe Del Mar cd for discovering "chill" music and personally connecting to it. Shortly after, she was fortunate enough to meet many talented DJ's whose music and skills taught her a lot about the genre, including her boyfriend, who's a very talented musician, and showed her the ropes. She's played at parties in Southern and Northern California, including the desert(!). But, what she really loves to do is produce sets that express her own experiences through sound, and those take a lot of work to create. Live sets are fun and much more spontaneous, but recording at home gives her a chance to play around with tracks and find new ways to take the listener through a unique musical journey. Her music is great for lounging with friends, tripping, letting the mind wander, or being gently lulled to sleep, though her favorite time to hear them is really early in the morning after being up all night.
