About Dipha Barus

Dipha Kresna Aditya Barus (born January 04, 1986) is an Indonesian disc jockey (DJ), composer, and producer. He became known to the public after releasing the single "No One Can Stop Us" with singer Kallula in 2016. Even though Dipha was awarded a scholarship at the Berklee Music College, Dipha only found out after a few years because her parents hid her acceptance letter from her. Finally, Dipha studied graphic design at the Limkokwing Creative Technology University, Malaysia. Dipha started his career while in college while being a semi-permanent DJ at Zouk Club in Kuala Lumpur. Once in Indonesia, Dipha started playing in restaurants and community events because techno music was still low on fans. In 2010, Dipha joined an indie band with the name Agrikulture as a bass player. Dipha rose to fame when she released a collaboration song with Kalulla in 2016 with the title "No One Can Stop Us" which won the Angerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) award for the Best Dance Production/EDC category. Dipha again won AMI in 2017 for best collaborative production work with her song "All Good". Dipha also won the AMI award again in 2018 for the best Rap/Hip Hop production category with her song "Decide". In 2019, Dipha decided to join Ultra Music which is a world dance music label from New York City, United States. Together with this label, Dipha released a single entitled "You Move Me", in collaboration with Monica Karina.
