Dieter Kropp (* 1961 in Barntrup , Lippe ) is a German harmonica player , singer , composer and author . His music can be assigned to the genres of blues , rock 'n' roll and rhythm and blues . Music and style Dieter Kropp began playing the blues harp in the early 1980s and has been a professional musician since 1986. The collaboration with the pianist Axel von Hagen is considered to be a style-forming factor for his music. Blues harp players like Walter Horton , Charlie Musselwhite and Sonny Boy Williamson inspired him. Teaching activity and teaching media Dieter Kropp has been passing on his knowledge in blues harp workshops since 1989. In 1990 the textbook "Blues Harping" was published by Hohner Verlag, with Dieter Kropp and Steve Baker as authors. In 2006 Voggenreiter Verlag published his book "Dieter Kropp's Blues Harp Songbook" and in 2009 the book "Blues Harp Schule" . Further textbooks from Voggenreiter Verlag followed.
