About Dial

1. Dial started in the fall of 2003 as a forum for musical expression between Rommert van der Meer, Liselotte Hegt and Kristoffer Gildenlöw (from Pain of Salvation). The general idea was to make music, any kind of music. It didn't have to fit with anything or be categorized; just making music. After a while, ideas became more serious and complete songs were formed. Early 2005 there was a first demo, recorded in a home environment, using drum machines and sequencers. In late 2005 DIAL started seriously consider making an album. Early 2006 DIAL got in touch with musician/producer Devon Graves (Dead Soul Tribe) and after hearing a newer version of the demo (re-recorded and re-mixed early 2006) he was happy to help out with producing the début album of DIAL. The album was recorded at Dead Soul Temple (Austria) in June/July 2006. 2. Dial is also the name of a New Zealand hardcore/math-rock/noise-Am-Rep style band. Members: Alex Backhouse //////// Richard Burns ///////// Natalia Williams /////// 3. Dial is a noise rock band whose members are Jacqui Ham (formerly of Ut), Dom Weeks, and Rob Smith.
