About Deheleboel

Deheleboel is a former band from Groningen (The Netherlands) that consisted of five man and one woman. Most of their songs are light popmusic, with lyrics mostly in the "Gronings" dialect. The lyrics are often funny and not too serious. In between 1993 and 2001 they performed mainly in the province of Groningen. The last composition of Deheleboel was: Erwin de Vries (vocals, lyrics), Jan Dokter (drums) , Rik ter Horst (bass), Geert Wierth (guitar), Gerard Smid (keys) and Sandra Schooneveld (vocals). Theyr first album called "Riep veur Opnoame" was published in 1997. Much later, in 2001 "Haim" was released. Their songs were played often on regional and national radio stations. Just when they gained some success they split up in 2001
