In the 1970’s, down under, deep in the bush, DEEP THROAT were the biggest and naughtiest band in all of the wonderful sunburnt land of OZ. Unfortunately due to circumstances, that involved the boys getting lost and trapped in Molly Meldrum’s basement, for 40 years, these absolute OZ Rock legends disappeared. Now they’re back! With nothing to do in Molly's basement but watch re-runs of Countdown & Number 96 - DEEP THROAT THE BAND are ready to reclaim their throne and they promise that every gig will be DEEPly penetrating and their THROAT’s are warmed up and ready to ROCK HARD! DEEP THROAT all play instruments, except the singer. He is too lazy and simple minded to play an instrument, but he looks awesome. The other 'musicians' in the band include a guitarist and a penist. There is also a bass player, who is more commonly referred to as ‘the pool cleaner’ and a drummer. The ‘pool cleaner’ and the drummer will never be referred to as musicians. They will generally be called "Hey! You! Please stop doing that"! by the desk clerk at Centrelink. DEEP THROAT are: Rock Hardwood, Dick Tingler, Wilbur Wang, Hugh Jorgan III and Leroy Thunderpants Jnr. Whenever and wherever DEEP THROAT play, be sure that you dress to impress! Bust out your bell bottom flares and your platform shoes and join DEEP THROAT for a funky-licious, booty-shakin’, spunk-fest! Raincoat and twisties optional.
