De Toegift (literally: 'The Encore') is a young Dutch band from the province of Zeeland, The Netherlands. They combine the realms of Dutch poetry and contemporary indie music, creating a peculiar blend of Dutch 'spoken indie' with influences from jazz. Always looking for experimentation, authenticity, and the perfect song, the band always seems to want to create a melancholy feeling of passing time and nostalgia. Their début EP, En ik kon alles zien ('And I Could See Everything') came out on Snowstar Records in April 2022. A steady trickle of singles and another EP followed throughout the remainder of the year, culminating in their debut self-titled album that was released in January 2023.
