The expression that the collective is bigger than the sum of its individual parts fits perfectly to describe Tonbruket. The musicality of the band members is already on a high level in their own right. In the meeting with each other something bigger appears. They create a sound world of their own that defies all genre definitions. The music is easiest and best described only as, Tonbruket. Tonbrukets members are Dan Berglund on bass (E.S.T., Rymden), Martin Hederos on keys and violin (The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Hederosgruppen), Johan Lindström on guitar and pedal steel (Johan Lindström Septett, Rebecka Törnqvist, Elvis Costello) and Andreas Werliin on drums (Wildbirds & Peacedrums, Fire!). On several occasions Tonbruket have played together with Ane Brun, both on record and on stage. They released their debut album 2010 and have been awarded several Swedish Grammies for their releases.
