DJ TLR – short for, who can say what… Total Love Rat? Turn Left, Right? The Lost Rider? – is the pseudonym of Dutch DJ and label owner Jeroen Van Der Star. And that label he owns, well it ain’t no ordinary music label. It’s just the hippest uber-underground electro, post-Chicago house and techno and weirdo soundtrack label to hit the 21st century, Crème Organization. Not only has TLR signed top underground artists like Bangkok Impact, Orgue Electronique and Legowelt for regular releases, but he’s also featured electro disco heavyweight Alexander Robotnik, dark electro queen Beta Evers, and has released a tribute to Robert Moog. He’s now proven once again that he’s way ahead of the pack, starting a new sublabel called Crème Jak – to celebrate that much lauded and beginning to fire up Chicago jackin’ sound. With a pedigree like this, you can hope that as a DJ TLR has – pardon the pun – the cream of new and classic electro, disco, techno and Chicago to choose from. More than hope, you can expect.
