About Dearth
There are two bands that have used this name. 1. Dearth is a queer post-doom two-piece from Montreal. 2. The roots of Dearth began long ago in a time when the scene in NH was about being friends and having a good time. Long before the time of venues getting shut down, fights ruining shows and drama destroying people and bands. There once was a scene that was fun and friendly with a plentiful amount of bands catering to all musical styles. Forming from the break up of Shot Down Sun and departures from Always & Forever, Dearth is determined to bring back the good old times to the NH scene. Collectively all the members have played hundreds of shows, opened for tons of national acts, toured and released albums through labels. They are all veterans of the local NH music scene. The music of Dearth is heavy and relentless, technical and challenging, brutal and smart, but the band feels its most important to be fun. With a serious lack of heavy music in NH, Dearth is ready to fill the void and take command.
