About Clemens Christian Poetzsch
Clemens Christian Poetzsch (also Clemens Pötzsch; born 12 March 1985) is a German pianist and composer whose work combines classical tradition, jazz improvisation, and contemporary acoustic and electronic elements. Trained at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden, he later developed a distinctive solo style recognised for its spacious textures and balance between composition and improvisation. Poetzsch gained international visibility as a founding member of the quartet Masaa (2012–2018), and his solo album Remember Tomorrow (2019) received five Opus Klassik nominations. He has performed at major European venues, including the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and the Philharmonie Brno, and has collaborated with artists such as Reentko Dirks and Sven Helbig. His work also includes the ballet score Abschied for the Sorbian National Ensemble (2013) and piano arrangements for Rammstein – XXI Klavier (2015).
