About Chaos Engine

1. Chaos Engine were (or are, depending on whim) a startling synth-industrial noise powered by equal parts bile, broken hardware (usually violently and on stage), disturbingly-coloured energy drinks and small-town England. The creative core of the band was Lee Chaos, abetted in the classic line-up (which makes them sound like Lynyrd Skynyrd) by Huw beating a guitar soundly and staring hard at the audience. They wore out several bass players in a manner that owed more to psyops than Spinal Tap. The obvious and largely facile musical comparison would be NIN, but Chaos Engine lurched off into areas influenced by tape-loops, Big Black, hardcore techno and non-rubbish Ministry. 2. A japanese crusty/metallic hardcore band. Released a 7'' on DIY Records run by the Battle of Disarm frontman.
