Crystal Waters (born November 19, 1961) is an American singer and songwriter known for her work in house and dance music. She gained prominence in the 1990s with the release of "Gypsy Woman" and "100% Pure Love", and later appeared on "Destination Calabria" in 2007, a collaboration with Alex Gaudino. Each of her three studio albums yielded at least one Top 40 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Billboard magazine included Waters in its list of notable dance artists in December 2016. Over the course of her career, she has received multiple industry recognitions, including six ASCAP Songwriter awards, three American Music Award nominations, one MTV Video Music Award nomination, four Billboard Music Awards, and twelve number-one hits on the Billboard Dance Chart. Her track "Gypsy Woman" has been widely sampled. While her record sales have not been officially re-certified, it is estimated that she has sold over seven million records worldwide.
