Böhse Onkelz (also known as B.O. or colloquially Die Onkelz) is a German rock band that was active from 1980 to 2005 and reunited in 2013. The band was controversial in its early years due to associations with far-right rock in the early 1980s. Their debut album, "Der nette Mann" (1984), was initially indexed as harmful to youth by the BPjS and shortly thereafter confiscated. From the mid-1990s onward, Böhse Onkelz achieved multiple top-ten placements on the German album and singles charts. Beginning with the album "Viva los Tioz" (1998), six consecutive studio albums by the band reached number one on the German charts.
