About Blue Whale
United Kingdon 1970 Blue Whale was a short-lived progressive rock group founded by Aynsley Dunbar after the dissolution of his preivious The Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation. They released one eponymous album in 1971. There is only little information to be found about the band, we know that they toured Scandinavia in January 1970 and that Dunbar tried to recruit Robert Fripp of King Crimson as the band's guitarist. The lineup, apart from Dunbar on drums featured Paul Williams (vocals) (later to sing in Jon Hiseman's Tempest) , Ivan Zagni (guitar), Roger Sutton (guitar), Tommy Eyre (from Retaliation, keys) and Peter Friedberg (bass).
