About Biting Elbows
Biting Elbows is a Russian indie rock band that was formed in 2008 in Moscow by frontman Ilya Naishuller and drummer Ilya Kondratyev. The band is best known for its music video for the song Bad Motherfucker. The video, directed by Naishuller, went viral because of its special effects and graphic violence - shot entirely in a first person perspective. A concept later adapted for Naishuller's 2015 action movie, Hardcore Henry, which included the songs My Woman and For the Kill in its soundtrack. Their second record, Shorten the Longing, was released in June 2020. The following year, three songs off of the record were featured in the videogame Death Stranding: Director's Cut - Control, Alone, and Other Me. In November 2023 the band announced that their guitarist Igor 'Garik' Buldenkov had passed at the age of 42.
