About Birds and Buildings

Birds and Buildings, a band founded in 2008, from Silver Spring, Maryland, United States. This band is led by Dan Britton who is a keyboardist, guitarist and vocalist. Dan also plays in Deluge Grander, and was in Cerebus Effect. The music is progressive rock. Though it contains so many different elements from mainly from jazz, but also lots of other genres, so you could say it is on the fusion side of progressive rock. The music is very melodic and instrumental and contains very complex parts with a lot of interplay between the various instruments. Band lineup: Dan Britton: keyboards, guitars Malcolm McDuffie: drums Brian Falkowski: saxes, flute, clarinet Brett d'Anon: bass, guitar Influences: Prog in general, Genesis, Magma, jazz, punk, Miles Davis, Cardiacs, PFM, Caetano Veloso and Jeff Buckley.
