About Barzaz
A breton folk group which released only two albums, E c'honder and An den kozh dall. Barzaz has produced deeply lyrical interpretations of Breton gwerzioù (mourning songs) and other folk repertoire. The group consisted of Yann-Fañch Kemener, who is one of Britanny's most renown singers, the guitarist Gilles le Bigot, Jean-Michel Veillon, who is most famous for having introduced the Irish wooden traverse flute into Breton folk music and Alan Genty on the fretless e-bass. It was completed by "Hopi" Hopkins from Ireland on percussion, who has also been a member of Bleizi Ruz
