About BULLRUN
Bullrun is a progressive post-rock band formed in 2006 as a contestant in the rock competition Rockkarusellen in Östergötland. The Swedish quartet is mainly based in Norrköping but members live in surrounding towns as well. It consists of leading singer and songwriter Erik Ljungqvist, lead guitarist Carl Magnus Juliusson, bassist Kalle Jonsson and drummer John Fernold. Bullrun's main sources of influence are The Mars Volta, At The Drive-In and Sparta. As a result, their sound vary from aggressive, punk-like choruses to melodic, soaring intros, without ever deriving from the essence of rock that is present in all of their songs. As of May 2007, they have released one official recording. Namely, Seeing Red, their first live studio demo. Containing the four songs Judge, Loose Ends, A Reason to Live and Left-red-hearts, it is a solid debut. All songs are available in full for listening here on last.fm.
