About BSD
BSD (BASS-STAR-DOS) is a DJs / producers duo from France. Their beginning in the world of music goes back to 1998, when they started producing Hip-Hop and Trip-Hop developing their first works, own and for other artists. The influence of Fluke, Renegade Soundwave, Lionrock, Anthony Rother, and Jackal & Hyde, among others, led them to experiment slowly with Elektro-Breaks and House. In 2008, the BSD project was consolidated, and after playing several times on various radio shows, they signed for iBreaks Records label. At the same time they won the remix contest by Rennie Pilgrem and his label, Thursday Club Recordings. Since their first release, Intoxikated Muzik EP, they were very well received by audiences, DJs and critics, and their singles achieved many Top 1 in the Breaks sales charts on major stores. Finally, their meteoric rise was recognized in the 2010 edition of the Breakspoll Awards, where BSD were awarded as “Best Breakthrough Producer”. As they would need a greater control over their music, BSD established their own label in late 2010, Mental Machine Muzik, where they released a debut album entitled “Malditos BASS-STAR-DOS!” Having shaken the Breaks scene in just over a year, they decided in early 2011 to diversify their style and start producing House and Indie Dance, collaborating with other producers and vocalists.
