About Baad

BAAD (バード) is a j-rock band formed 1992 in Japan by four members: Main Vocal - 山田恭二(Yamada Kyouji), Guitar/Vocal - 大田紳一郎(Shinichiro Ohta), Bass - 小林正道(Masamichi Kobayashi), Drums - 新井康徳(Yasunori Arai). Band had debut on February 1993 with the single "どんな時でも Hold Me Tight(Donna Toki Demo Hold Me Tight)" and quickly rose to the top. Their biggest hit came months later with the single "君が好きだと叫びたい(Kimi ga Suki da to Sakebitai)" that was used as OP theme in the anime series Slam Dunk. The main vocalist and lyricist Yamada Kyouji left the band in 1995 and was replaced by 秦秀樹(Hata Hideki) as a second vocalist. Following that, the band switched labels from ZAIN Records to Nippon Columbia. After releasing 10 Singles and 3 Albums, the band disbanded in 1999 due to unknown reasons.
