“My music will tell you more than I ever will” AUDIOFIELD is the solo project by the dutch master gitarist Gertjan Vis (3rd Machine, Black Knight, Profound). After his international well received work on 3rd Machine's album Quantified Self in 2016, a lot of good songs which didn't fit in the musical profile of his band 3rd Machine remained on the shelve. Inspired by the idea that it is possible to tell stories without words, the longtime dream to make a solo album is now reality. The songs just had to be used; AUDIOFIELD was born. With the album `The Great Debate` GertJan is showcasing his ability to write excellent rock and metalsongs that keeps the listeners attention from beginning to the end and leaves the listener in awe. We challenge you to give `The great Debate' a try. Just close your eyes and imagine yourself standing in an open field while you listen to: `The Great Debate`. You will truely be taken on a musical journey were unexpected sounds and themes will be discovered. Every time you listen to the songs you will discover new depths and themes. Which makes listening to it, an experience that endures and will still your hunger for exceptional craftsmanship and excellent music. This album is the work of a true artist. The power of the riffs on this album are hypnotizing, the depth in the use of melody and arrangements are mesmerizing. On this album many renowned master guitarplayers contributed. Musical friends like Ruben Hoeke, Frank Schiphorst, Gil Lopez, Erik Bosgieter, Claus Visser and Hans van Kleef. With a little help and support the Audiofield project was made into what it is right now: an interesting instrumental album filled with guitar extravaganza, where in every song a story is told. The Great Debate stands for a musical experience which has to be heard.
