About Atterkop

Atterkop formed in the bleak Bristol autumn of 2012. When Private Gain disbanded in the summer of '12 the remaining members had one desire, to express their love for franctic 'bass heavy' ska-punk. They enlisted the Upsettah on guitars and headed straight into the practice room. After months of writing their set consisted of nothing but a hefty dose of political dub soaked punk coupled with riff heavy beat downs and frantic ska. Since their inception Atterkop have completed a series of mini tours and one-off gigs across the UK. In October 2013, Atterkop headed to Madeof Ale Studios, Manchester to record their debut EP. With the six tracks recorded the EP was released on Riot Ska Records, Pumpkin Records, Rodent Popsicle (USA), Sniperhill Records (SWE) and Unknown Records (CAN) and the EP will also be available on cassette through Uga Uga Tapes (GER) and Prejudice Me Records.
