About Atika
The band was born in Klaipėda in 1996. The main idea was to combine traditional pop-rock with folk and exotic instruments. Also to find some new poetic expressions. Atika is Darius (guitar, vox) and Audrius (drums). The band has 4 demo CD's: "Karvė ir kosmonautai", "Caro nebuvo", "Po visko" and an acoustic live album "Žolių vaikai". Eventually the band has released "Šalin rankas nuo rokenrolo, mama" - and quite recently the new album -"Himnai ir Vėliavos" their only official records. Atika says, drivel and adds: "Stop yelling and listen to us"... Atika split-up in 2007, but reformed in 2008 with this current line up: Darius Žvirblis - Vocal, guitar; Artur Mamin - bass guitar; Geistautas Špogis - guitar; Audrius Šalnis - drums, Remis Motiejauskas - el. guitar, And released another demo tape called „Narcizų Dainos“.
