About Arrow Kleeman

Arrow Kleeman is an American visual artist and electronic musician/composer. Previously he released music as Lilienthal (1997 to 2004) for labels such as Static Caravan, Emanate, Temporary Residence, and Zeal, including collaborations with Tarentel, Sonna, and Sybarite as well as a touring stint with Silver Apples (also featuring Xian Hawkins of Sybarite). He now records under his own name and has released music both independently and on Root Strata. Kleeman has shown his work and performed in various cities in the United States including New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. His large scale paintings are intuitive abstractions of the elusive multiverse, while his most recent music consists primarily of electronic percussive melodic structures that are shifted and shaped over time. His music emphasizes overlapping, differing time signatures, the transposition of melodic sequences, and building cohesive compositions from simple elements all while maintaining an emotional arc. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. His website and portfolio can be found here.
