About Arkanna
Arkanna is the project of Independent Scottish singer-songwriter and producer Gill Brown. Her music is a blend of electronic, ambient, trip-hop, and downtempo. Known for her haunting, rare vocals, and her atmospheric production. Her early collaborations with electronic producers include, Elite Force, Meat Katie, and Bambook. In 2023 she released her debut EP Hermetic Light, a three-track collection that showcases her signature sound. Further collaborations with international artists and labels, include Cosmicleaf Records, Side Liner, Kick Bong, and Kaya Project. She has been compared to artists such as Portishead, Emancipator, Thievery corporation, Massive attack, and Kate Bush.
