About Apache Outlaw

Started by Frontman Mike Lord and Drummer Luke Mee in late 2004, Apache Outlaw crawled out of the primordial goop of music and into the world of funk. Joined by brothers Jon Browne (Bass) and Dan Browne (Guitar) the band was set into motion. The four found their musical feet during 2005 and subsequently released compilation of their best demos from that year, billed as the 14 track album; "Desperate Measures" With one home brewed CD under their belts Apache Outlaw launched into the Leicester music scene in spring of 2006. Writing a whole host of constantly improving songs, playing to larger and larger audiences at some of the most bizarre venues the city streets had to offer. Now with an established sound the four teamed up with aspiring Sound Technician Stuart Gilfedder to record their first feature EP. "Ingle Pingle" which was released in January 2007. And with the support of local media and a hard cycle of constant gigging, the resulting sales allowed the band to concentrate on a full length project. During the summer of 2007, in and out of playing local venues and music festivals, Apache Outlaw wrote and recorded their latest self release, "The Loudest Silence". This involved working closely with both Ingle Pingle's Stuart Gilfedder and Sound Technician Mike Atack and also Graphic Designer Carl Glover. A video for the track "Everybody Do The Bopp" was also recorded in autumn with the aid of RAWmedia. As the album grind ploughed on, Guitarist Dan Browne was whisked away to Newbury as part a of his higher education. In this period the band took a new guitarist under their wing, namely the talented Haydn Robinson (The HaydnTrain). Haydn contributed to many live shows and new compositions before standing down upon Dan's return in the Summer of 2008. Currently Apache Outlaw are showing their worth on the local music scene, playing as many shows as possible whilst working on new material and several other projects. Balancing their band career with their Higher Education commitments, as well as promoting "The Loudest Silence". Living by the motto; "Peace. Love. Funk" Apache Outlaw are constantly refining and promoting the unique sound they are becoming recognized for.
